Welcome to the Shu-Fly Arena
We are a family owned and operated indoor arena located North of Gooding, Idaho.
The barn was finished in the fall of 2003 with help from many of our local professional cowboys and cowgirls.
The arena is 140’X 240’, a perfect design to accommodate every event. From barrel racing, team roping, and cuttings to birthday parties and weddings are just some of the events that have been held.
The ground is a mixture of black sand, blow sand, and our local clay dirt. Thanks to the local cutter for donating the black sand, this combination is easily groomed to meet each events needs. Even at its driest days the dust is very minimal.
The spectator’s area is a nice raised, heated spot for our dedicated moms, dads, grandparents, and cowkids to stay warm during those cold days in the winter. We decided not to heat the arena due to the varying temperatures in this area would cause health issues on the cattle and horses going from the warmth to cold.
The kid corral is a safe place for small ones to play while mom and dad ride, and always expect a homemade, warm meal from our concession stands.
If you are going to be passing through and need a place to get your horses out and stretch give us a call. If you are a traveling cowboy or cowgirl and have time to do some final tuning before you compete, give us a call. Quality team roping cattle and calves are on site. Hookups and stalls are also available.
We would like to thank all the people that have supported the Shu-Fly
Arena. From our local cowboys and cowgirls, Lana Parker, Parker Pro Rodeo
Horses, Coca-Cola Company, Marod Medical Spa, Silver Lining Herb, Basin Tack
Company, Don Adamson, and Sam Bray.
Saddle up and ride…
